This quote from Rumi would resonate and be answered affirmatively by every human being in the universe if many of us hadn't been beaten down by others' opinions of a) what art is and b) whether or not we are capable of making it. Those people had the same message relayed to them and onwards and forwards it goes.
So, my friends, let us do away with the sterilized and monotonized nature of our society and look for ways we can nourish our inner artists and bring that bounty forth! We can just tell those naysayers, "I pray thee cease thy counsel,
Which falls into mine ears as profitless as water in a sieve."
Tally ho and here we go on new adventures of spirit.
