some of the larger works from 2024
The entirety of the Egiazko Koroa series revolves around interconnections of clean technology and human advancement, its applicability to life and foundation within nurturing nature. Originally inspired by Neri Oxman (and team)'s work building from the natural world. It's a journey of discovery as the artist adds and peels away layers of paint, exploring patterns, organic shapes, and colors that dissolve and interweave relevance and connectedness.

Each individual painting is its own now within an imagined multiverse and an Earth-adjacent environment. At times a cosmic sky is more likely to be perceived, whereas at other times a detailed landscape fills the painting's borders. As a nod to the concept of 'wrinkles in time', i.e. bunched up linear time folding at different points of contact, the foundation of each painting is rough/wrinkled. The texture was achieved using acrylic paint applied using the hands as a nod to finger painting and the dreamlike vision of childhood.

Dancing with spirit and science, there is a fascination with imagining different perspectives. Mathematically it seems our own multiverse supports no more than 11 different dimensions, and yet these works are an exercise in differing perception and only somewhat connected to the theories many scientists accept as most probable today

Classical abstract expressionism
Hard knocks and daily grind; where to find the humor and truth? Sometimes the path most worthy is that with sharp stones and blind corners. So we lift our steps with sturdier shoes and grow our inherent trust of our hearts.
Humanity's environment without the concrete. Inspired be being in the fields and trees and using plein air techniques. These pieces are also created in the studio, layers upon layers over time.
Using landscapes for expression of inner terrene connecting with outer imagery is a handy tool for allegorical statement. Animals and plants are often representatives of certain statements or archetypes. Hoping to inspire a reaction or spark of interest. Hoping to expand, to nurture, to grow that which is inherently, beautifully, humane.
Living in a multi-dimensional human adventure leads to multi-varied expression. Art's a way to connect and share those experiences whilst reminding oneself of our infinite existence and practically infinite number of reality/ies; thereby also heightening our awareness of self.
Searching for a resolution; spontaneous calm within a simultaneous existence of contradictory form.

Futures within worlds.
I perceive our experieces to be within spheres and spheres of realities that sometimes only peripherally engage. The materials I use tend to be of the non-plastic variety as I feel they hold a piece of naturalness lacking in industrialized communities.
